Our Mission
Equestrian Theater is an inclusive horse community, based on Respect and Support for both horses and riders. We promote good horsemanship, participation and fun. All breeds, disciplines, and experience levels are welcome to join us, novice to professional. We are a non competitive group, motivated by personal achievement and group camaraderie.
We are serious riders creating a place between trail riding and competitive showing, entertaining ourselves and others on horseback, in creative and educational ways. Our troupes include Riding to Music, Medieval games, Reining, Garrocha, and a Military Cavalry Unit. While professional level riders will be performing at public events, our novice level members will be preparing for recitals held seasonally for family and friends. We meet monthly, locations changing to provide the opportunity to get our horses out to new surroundings, while providing support to riders, training help, and performance mentoring. And best of all, we celebrate fun and partnership with other like- minded riders.
The organization benefits members by providing a "Stable" for riders to grow and evolve, to organize Equestrian Theater Events, provide insurance, and provide accountability and grace for members and public.
Our code of conduct is to create a spirit of participation that is positive and supportive of everyone. We choose to talk to people, not about them. There are no bad questions, no bad riders or horses, and no dreams too large. Everyone gets to play in our club.
History
The Equestrian Theater and Performance Arts was formed in Colorado in 2007. In no time, we had nearly 100 members and have had so much fun, we decided to think big, utilize the internet for networking and educational abilities, and open the club up to members from all over. This is a great way to network and meet people like yourself from all over the world, trade ideas, seek and give advice, promote your drill team, and raise money. You've never been in a club like ours before. Leave the politics behind and come have fun with us!
